Julia Barbour is a visual artist based in New Paltz, New York, primarily focusing on painting, drawing and collage practices. In 2025, Julia received her undergraduate bachelor's degree in Painting and Drawing at SUNY New Paltz with a minor in Art History. Her work has been exhibited in group shows at Limner Gallery (2026), The Crafted Kup (2026), Blue Mountain Gallery (2026), Womenswork.Art Gallery (2025), The Dorsky Museum of Art BFA Thesis Exhibition at SUNY New Paltz (2025), and Kaje World gallery (2024). During her undergraduate study, she was the recipient of the Student Opportunity Grant which aided in her BFA thesis installation (2025), and has since completed the ChaNorth Artist's Residency program in Pine Plains, NY, in the spring of 2026.
