Julia Barbour is a visual artist based in the Hudson Valley, New York, primarily focusing on painting, drawing and collage practices. Julia received her BFA in Painting and Drawing at SUNY New Paltz with a minor in Art History (2025). Her work has been exhibited in group shows at the Wallkill River Center for the Arts (2026), Nha Minh Gallery (2026), Limner Gallery (2026), The Crafted Kup (2026), Blue Mountain Gallery (2026), Womenswork.Art Gallery (2025), The Dorsky Museum of Art BFA Thesis Exhibition at SUNY New Paltz (2025), and Kaje World gallery (2024). She was the recipient of the Student Opportunity Grant during her BFA, and was selected for the ChaNorth Artist's Residency in Pine Plains, New York, 2026, Lakkos Artist Residency in Heraklion, Crete, Greece (2026), and Argo Artist Residency in Athens, Greece (2026).
